Katie and Conner's Beach Wedding
Katie and Conner’s beautiful beach wedding truly embraced the waterfront locale. Planning their San Diego destination wedding from afar, the happy couple tied the knot in a toes-in-the-sand wedding ceremony on the Bahia’s secluded beach. Family and friends continued the celebration aboard the resort’s vintage sternwheeler boat that cruised on Mission Bay for dinner and dancing. The coastal theme was displayed throughout the day with small details such as place cards written on a sand dollars, beta fish in glass cylinders for table centerpieces, and palm tree-shaped bottle openers for favors.
“When we first began our wedding planning, my husband and I were hoping to find a venue with an all-in-one feel, since most of our guests were traveling from out of state and would need a place to stay. When we arrived at the Bahia Resort, we instantly knew we had found our dream venue! Beyond finding the most perfect venue, we lucked out by getting to work with Kelsey, who helped us to create the most beautiful beach ceremony and an incredible reception on board the William D. Evans sternwheeler. For the entirety of our stay at the resort and through our whole wedding day, we felt that every last detail was taken care of in order to make everything as stress-free as possible. We will forever be grateful to the Bahia and the people who helped to make our day the most perfect day of our lives!”
